Police have been handed a further 24 hours to quiz two suspects about the murder of a man in Northern Ireland.

Anthony McErlain, 48, was discovered dead in a house in the Broombeg View area of Ballycastle at around 8.30pm on Thursday.

A 33-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of murder and a 50-year-old man was also detained by the PSNI.

Investigators have been given a 24-hour extension to further question the pair, who were both arrested on Friday.

Detective Inspector Clara Heaton said: "Detectives from Serious Crime Branch investigating the murder of 48-year-old Anthony McErlain have been given additional time by a court to question two men aged 33 and 50 who were arrested on 29 January."
