Police get involved in sledding race in Lurgan
Members of the PSNI have gotten involved in sledding with the public at a park in Lurgan.
A post on the PSNI Craigavon's Facebook page explains officers were taking advantage of the unseasonal weather to carry out a "rigorous slidyness assessment" of the park.
A spokesperson says they had received "an urgent call" from an "anxious parent looking to know if Lurgan Park was slidy enough for sledding on".
"Our guys were nearby and arrived in time to conduct a rigorous slidyness assessment on the park. We are pleased to say it passed with flying colours," they wrote.
"We are even more pleased to say that young Saoirse here narrowly beat P in a race. The other race as you can see wasn't so close"
"If you see us out and about, say hi. Don't throw snowballs at us, unless you see stripes on the shoulders. They're called Sergeants and they LOVE snowball fights. It's their favourite."
