Police hunt for two men following armed robbery at Belfast shop

A man armed with a knife threatened staff during a robbery at a shop in south Belfast.

Detectives have appealed for witnesses following the incident at the store on the Ormeau Road on Tuesday night.

It was reported that at around 7.15pm two males, one carrying a knife, entered the shop and threatened a member of staff before making off with a sum of cash from the till.

Both males were described as wearing hooded tops and made off on foot in the direction of Haywood Avenue.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Musgrave Police Station on 101 quoting reference 1206 of 27/02/18.
