Police hunt gang over armed raids in Belfast

Police are chasing a gang of armed robbers and a lone gunman after staff at three Belfast businesses were threatened with tasers and guns on Friday night.

In the first incident two masked men entered a petrol station on the Upper Lisburn Road at around 7.45pm and terrorised staff with stun guns.

The men stole a sum of money from the till before making off.

After leaving the petrol station the men entered an Iceland store in west Belfast just before 8pm.

Armed with stun guns and baseball bats the gang then threatened staff, injuring one.

The two men then made off in an old-style silver Audi which had a large dent on the passenger side.

In a separate incident police are hunting for a lone armed robber who threatened staff at gunpoint at three west Belfast bookmakers on Friday.
