Police hunt man who attacked pet dog in Newtownabbey park

Police are currently seeking information to help them locate a man who attacked a pet dog in Threemilewater River Park in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim.

Around 11am on Friday May 4, the man attacked the dog by kicking it "very hard in the stomach sending him rollling into a bush".

The man then ran from the Doagh Road towards Manse Road.

He is described as in his 40s, approx 6 foot, with dark hair and a beard.

He was wearing a long sleeved red top and black shorts.

"Any help would be appreciated to help us identify the assailant," a PSNI spokesperson said.
