Police in appeal following assault in Queen's Quay area of Belfast

A 28-year-old man was punched in the right eye in an attack in the Queen's Quay area of Belfast on Sunday at around 3am.

The victim was taken to hospital where he received stitches to a wound below his eye.

The male assailant is described as aged in his late teens or early 20s, around 6ft 2ins tall, of muscular build, and with short brown hair.

He was wearing a plain navy jumper and possibly blue jeans.

Police have asked witnesses to contact them at Strandtown on 0845 600 8000.
