Police investigate petrol bomb attack on Co Down home

No-one was injured in the incident in Loughinisland overnight between Monday and Tuesday.

A Co Down resident has escaped injury after a petrol bomb was thrown at a house.

The property in the Loughview Cottages area of Loughinisland is believed to have been targeted some time between 11pm on Monday and 4am on Tuesday.

The occupant, who was inside at the time, was not injured, although damage was caused to the front door, panelling and fascia.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to contact CID at Ardmore police station on 101, quoting reference 614 10/12/19.
