Police investigate spate of thefts in Castlereagh

Police in Castlereagh are appealing for information following an overnight spate of thefts from cars.

On Tuesday morning police received 11 reported thefts from vehicles parked in the Grey Castle Manor, Glenview Heights and Marlborough Heights area.

A variety of items were stolen from the vehicles including electrical tools, golf clubs, a sat nav and money.

Criminal damage was also caused to two vehicles.

At 6am on June 3, police received a call from a member of the public reporting a variety of items lying on a footpath in the Glenview Avenue area which are believed to be some of the items stolen from the vehicles.

They are also investigating a link with a burglary in the Brentwood Park area which was reported to police at approximately 3.30am on June 3.

Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity is asked to call the non-emergency number 101.
