Police investigating threat to kill DUP leader Arlene Foster
Police are investigating a threat to shoot and kill DUP leader Arlene Foster.
The Impartial Reporter has said that police are investigating a comment on social media in which a man allegedly said he "must try" shooting Mrs Foster "to see if I'd get away with it".
It's understood that police were alerted to the comment by a member of the DUP who raised it with officers.
Fermanagh & Omagh Councillor Keith Elliot confirmed that the comment had been reported to the PSNI.
“Arlene Foster has been the subject of online attack and harassment throughout her political career," he told the Impartial Reporter.
“These particular comments have been reported to the PSNI, and despite their vicious nature, we will not comment further until the PSNI has carried out their investigation.”
