Police issue appeal after alleged rape in Laurel Glen area of Dunmurry

Detectives investigating the alleged rape of a teenage girl in the Laurel Glen area of Dunmurry have issued a description of a suspect and appealed for more information on the attack.

He is said to be 25-30 years old, 6ft tall, medium build with a local accent. He has fair hair, stubble and bushy eyebrows, and wore a dark coat and dark denim jeans.

He assaulted his victim in a forested area beside the Stewartstown Road at around 8.30pm last Saturday night. A PSNI spokesman said: “Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Rape Crime Unit at Ladas Drive on 0845 600 8000.

“Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
