Police have issued a warning after four containers of a dangerous chemical were stolen from a laboratory in south Belfast.
The 1kg containers are labelled 'Silicagel 60A for flash chromatography' and may have blue, red or white lids and small white rectangular labels on the front.
A PSNI spokesman said taking the extremely fine white powder could be "potentially life-threatening". If inhaled, it has the potential to cause damage to lungs.
The Malone Road theft occurred at around 11.40am yesterday. The male suspect is aged 30-40, with ginger hair, and was wearing a combat jacket and camouflage trousers, and carrying a camouflage duffle bag.
