Police are investigating a series of burglary attempts in south Belfast yesterday.

At around 4am, it was reported that a man had attempted to gain entry to a property in Hampton Park.

Then shortly after 4.05am, it was reported that a male had attempted to gain entry to a second property in Hampton Park.

An attempt to gain entry to a car parked nearby was also made. Damage was not reported to either the vehicle or the two properties.

At around 5.20am, it was reported that an attempt was made to gain entry to a property in Hampton Manor and a car parked nearby. A male, described as wearing a hooded top, was seen in the area at the time.

Entry was gained to the property, but not the vehicle. Damage was caused to the property, but not the vehicle.

Detectives have appealed to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to call 101 quoting reference number 167 01/04/20.
