Police are investigating a serious sexual assault on a woman in north Belfast.
The attack happened in the Waterworks at 8.30pm on Wednesday.
The area was sealed off yesterday near Cavehill Road as detectives carried out a search of the scene for clues.
The park was later reopened to the public.
A local woman - who did not want to be named - said she had been concerned for some time about anti-social behaviour in the Waterworks, which is popular with families.
"Families use the park by day with their children and for walking their dogs, but after dark it's a different story," she said.
"There is a lot of anti-social behaviour and under-age drinking.
"I wouldn't go there after nightfall."
The PSNI said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the assault. There are no further details at this stage."
Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
