Police probe shop robbery

Detectives at Antrim Road CID are investigating a robbery at a supermarket on Shore Road, north Belfast on Wednesday, August 4.

Shortly before 9pm three masked men entered the store. Staff were threatened and a firearm was mentioned but not produced.

It's understood money was removed from two tills before the robbers made off in a vehicle driven by a fourth man. It's believed the blue BMW X1 was stolen during a creeper burglary in the Mosside Mews area of Dunmurry on July 27.

The first robber is described as slim and was wearing a white hoody with grey horizontal stripes, navy tracksuit bottoms, white trainers, dark gloves and a balaclava. The second man was also slim and wearing a striped grey hoody with the hood up and possibly a balaclava underneath, black tracksuit bottoms, grey trainers and grey gloves. The third was wearing a grey hoody, darker on the shoulders, arms and hood, light track bottoms, a light baseball cap with a scarf over his face and dark glasses.

Anyone with information can contact CID at Antrim Road on 0845 600 8000 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
