Police are investigating the theft of a large quantity of jewellery from a shop in Randalstown.

The items taken from the shop on Main Street in the town in the early hours of Wednesday October 16 included luxury watch brands and diamond necklaces.

The haul also included some more distinctive pieces including a gold Masonic ring with blue enamel and a small diamond, an antique seed pearl mourning ring, a gentleman’s pocket watch and antique cuff links.

Detective Constable Aaron Cooke issued an appeal for information.

“I would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity or vehicles being driven in a suspicious manner in the area of Main Street to contact detectives at Antrim on the non-emergency number 101,” he said.

“I would also appeal to anyone who is offered any of the above jewellery for sale to also contact us.”
