Police probing stabbing of three men release second suspect

A second suspect arrested in connection with the stabbing of three men in Belfast has been released.

The man, in his 20s, was released on bail on Sunday pending further inquiries. A woman, 20, detained on Saturday was released on the same conditions later that day.

Another man, also in his 20s, remained in police custody on Sunday afternoon.

One victim, in his 20s, was found with stab wounds to his head when police arrived at a house in the York Park area, in the north of the city, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Two other men, who are also in their 20s, were found nearby.

One underwent surgery for abdominal injuries while the other suffered a head injury and stab wounds to his neck.

All three men were said to be in a stable condition in hospital following the incident.

Officers have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
