Detectives investigating the disappearance and suspected murder of William 'Pat' McCormick have made a further two arrests.

Two men, aged 39 and 20, were detained on suspicion of assisting offenders and perverting the course of justice.

Police believe the 55-year-old from Newtownards has been murdered and the search for his body continued in the Comber area last night.

Yesterday a man aged 26 and a woman aged 20, who had been rearrested on suspicion of murder on Monday by the PSNI's Major Investigation Team, were released on bail pending further enquiries.

It's now over a week since Mr McCormick was last seen. CCTV footage released by police shows him walking down Castle Street in the town at around 10.45pm on May 30.

He was also seen driving his black Citroen C4 car in Comber around 10.30pm.
