A man arrested by police investigating the murder of a man whose body was found in a north Belfast lake has been released unconditionally.

Kevin Kearney was gunned down as he walked his two dogs through Alexandra Park on October 8. The 46-year-old man's body was found floating in a lake in the park a day later.

Detectives from the Serious Crime Branch yesterday arrested a 38-year-old man in north Belfast.

He was also interviewed at Antrim police station about dissident republican threats made in a social club in Ardoyne on October 14.

He was released last night.
