Police 'round up' wandering calf in Armagh
Police in Northern Ireland got their lassos out on Sunday and went on the "trail of the lonesome" calf.
The animal was reported to be loose on the Portadown Road, Armagh. A passing Tactical Support Group unit quickly responded.
They were determined in their pursuit, even though it was on foot rather than horseback, and braved some very heavy downpours.
It was worth the drenching, however, as they soon caught up with the young calf and were able to reunite it with its owner, a local farmer.
"The calf was unharmed and no stinger or police helicopter was needed on this occasion," a police officer said.
