Police seek witnesses to Dungannon hit and run

By Staff Reporter

The man who died as the result of a hit and run incident in Co Tyrone on Tuesday evening was a Lithuanian national who had been living in Northern Ireland for several years.

Edmundas Cizauskas (46) was struck by a vehicle which failed to stop on the Killyman Road in Dungannon.

Dungannon-based SDLP councillor Denise Mullen extended her sympathies to Mr Cizauskas' family.

"It's awful that this man was hit by a vehicle and then the driver did not stop at the scene," she said.

"I am calling on anyone who has information to contact the police, or for the driver to go to the local police station."

The PSNI appealed for anyone travelling on the Killyman Road at the time of the incident to contact them.

Witnesses should call the police in Dungannon on 101, quoting reference 1263 30/01/18.
