Police seize cash at Derry ‘brothel‘

A judge granted a forfeiture order to the PSNI in relation to money found in a flat in Londonderry which police believed was being used as a brothel.

Londonderry Magistrates Court heard yesterday how officers found £1,030 in the Foyle Road flat in a search on August 24.

Applying for the forfeiture order under the Proceeds of Crime Act, a police officer told District Judge Barney McElholm he believed the money was derived from “the provision of sexual services”.
