Police uncover 'cannabis factory'

A cannabis factory with 60 plants worth around £30,000 has been uncovered by police, it has emerged.

The drugs were discovered in a house in Brookvale Crescent, Ahorey in Craigavon during a raid on Friday afternoon.

The PSNI said a 23-year-old man was arrested during a follow-up operation in Portmore Street, Portadown, on Saturday morning.

He is being questioned on suspicion of a number of drug offences including cultivation, possession and possession with intent to supply.

The operation was carried out by members of E District tactical crime team.
