Power has been restored to some 900 homes and businesses which were left without electric after a power cable was damaged in Lurgan.

Northern Ireland Electricity Networks said a contractor had caused damage to a high-voltage power cable in Union Street in the Co Armagh town on Thursday morning.

Power was restored just after 11am, the energy company said.

Repairs are expected to take place throughout the day.
