Prisoner's escape bid is shortlived

Police at Laganside Magistrates Court in Belfast have managed to rearrest a prisoner who made a break for freedom while in the care of two officers.

The unnamed man, whose hands were cuffed to the front, made the attempt to escape while being escorted by two police officers, one male and one female, towards the back door of the courts complex.

Within minutes of making a break for it the prisoner was recaptured and escorted back to court, handcuffed to the rear this time.
