Private bus set on fire in Strabane arson attack

A private bus has been set on fire during the early hours of Sunday morning in Strabane.

Police received a report at around 12.30am that a bus had been set on fire in the Melmount Road area of the town.

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue service were at the scene.

Police are treating this incident as arson.

Inspector William Calderwood is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who has any information to contact Police at Strabane on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 65 04/02/18.

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
