Probe into shot in bar reports

Police in Londonderry are investigating reports that a shot was fired in a city bar.

Masked men reportedly walked into a pub in the Creggan area around 6.30pm last night looking for an individual and then fired the shot in the air.

It is understood no one was injured in the incident.

PSNI Chief Inspector Andy Lemon said: "Police investigations into this report are already under way and I appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area around this time or anyone who has information about the incident to contact Detectives at Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101."
