A protest is planned against Hillary Clinton's visit to Belfast next week.

The former US Secretary of State will be presented with an honorary degree from Queen's University on Wednesday.

She will be recognised for her "exceptional public service in the USA and globally", and her "outstanding" contribution to peace and reconciliation here.

However, Socialist Youth NI has organised a protest against the honour outside Queen's.

An organiser said: "Hillary Clinton is no peacemaker. She supported George Bush's Iraq war, pushed for Obama's surge of troops into Afghanistan and was central to pushing for military intervention in Libya, which has caused untold destruction."
