PSNI appeal 'get the presents home for Christmas' as young boy's gifts stolen in Belfast burglary

Police locate stolen car - but presents still missing

The PSNI have appealed to the public to help get presents home for a young boy before Christmas after they were stolen in a burglary in Belfast.

It happened in the early hours of Saturday morning at around 6.50am in the Orchardville Crescent area of south Belfast.

A silver coloured Citroen C4 with resigstration PLZ 3245 was stolen.

It is currently missing its rear number plate.

However a number of Christmas presents to the young boy in the house were in the boot of the car when it was stolen.

The car was seen heading in the direction of Finaghy Road North and police have since located it.

However the presents were not with it and remain missing.

PSNI enquiries are continuing.

Posting on Facebook officers wrote: "If you have any information in relation to this incident please contact us at Lisburn road station quoting serial 352 of 17th December 2016."
