PSNI crime unit in appeal over Larne sex attack

Detectives from the PSNI's Rape Crime Unit who are investigating a serious sexual attack |in the Main Street area of Larne on Sunday, August 26, have appealed for information from the public.

It was reported that sometime during the early hours of the morning a 22-year-old woman, who had been socialising in the Main Street area, was assaulted in a laneway in the vicinity of Main Street by an unknown man.

The young woman was wearing a red dress, black leggings, a black vest top with lace on the front and a lace panel on the back and a black cardigan.

Police want anyone who may have been socialising in the Main Street area on the evening of Saturday August 25 and who may have seen the female or saw anything suspicious to contact them immediately. They would also like to hear from anyone who has any other information in relation to this incident.
