Police are investigating a potential link between two burglaries at homes in south Belfast.

The break-ins occurred in the Ravenhill area during the early hours of Saturday.

The first incident happened at a property in Ardenlee Place. Two laptops and a PlayStation console were reported stolen.

Entry was also gained to a house in Ardenlee Crescent and a bag containing a laptop, mobile phone and wallet was taken.

Detective Sergeant Corrigan said: "We are investigating a possible link between both incidents and are appealing to anyone who was in the area and who witnessed any unusual activity or anyone who is offered similar items in suspicious circumstances to contact detectives in Musgrave Police Station on 101 quoting reference 445 07/12/19."
