PSNI officers injured after car rammed multiple times in Newry

Two police officers have suffered minor injuries after their car was rammed multiple times in Newry.

It happened at around 4am on Monday following a report of males acting suspiciously in the Warrenpoint Area.

Officers discovered a camper van which had been stolen in the Dundalk area as a result of a burglary.

The males involved made off after ramming the police vehicle a number of times.

They were last seen in the area of the Dallan Road/ Clonallen Road.

A short time later a car was stolen from a property in the Burren Road.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and heard or saw anything out of the ordinary.
