PSNI to give first web safety talk in Irish at bunscoil in Castlewellan

The PSNI is today giving their first Internet Safety talk in Irish to an Irish speaking school in Castlewellan.

PSNI Down said they were "really excited" to give the talk to Bunscoil Bheanna Boirche.

Posting on their Facebook page officers said: "This is a first for us in the PSNI. We are delivering our very first Internet Safety talk in Irish to Bunscoil Bheanna Boirche.

"It seems only right that children learning Irish should have their internet talks in Irish too but unfortunately the parents who are coming to a more intense Parents session in the evening will be stuck with me going into more depth in English.

"Wish us luck. I think this is going to be fun."
