Public meeting over riot pictures
Youth workers will be among speakers at a public meeting in Londonderry tomorrow on the controversy over police surveillance pictures of young people involved in street disturbances.
The meeting, called by the People Before Profit Alliance, will take place in the Nerve Centre in Magazine Street at 4pm.
In a statement yesterday, the People Before Profit group said: “We hope that Saturday’s meeting will help to put a sharper focus on the underlying issues.
“We particularly hope that the parents of some of the youngsters whose photographs have been widely distributed by the police will come along.”
