Raiders threaten staff with gun in east Belfast

Police are searching for two balaclava-wearing men who threatened staff with a firearm and stole a sum of cash at a filling station in east Belfast.

No one was injured when the men entered the premises on the Beersbridge Road area at around 9pm on Tuesday and demanded money from staff before making off in the direction of Hyndford Street

The men are described as being in their late teens or early 20s, both of slim build and approximately 5ft 9ins tall.

One of the males was wearing a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms while the other was wearing a dark grey windbreaker jacket and black tracksuit bottoms.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact CID in Musgrave Police Station on 101.
