Railway halt maintenance

Maintenance work is to be carried out at Sydenham rail halt this month.

Translink NI Railways is advising residents living near Sydenham halt that essential maintenance work will be carried out during August.

Translink NI Railways route manager Gerard McAtarsney said: “This work will repair damage to the platforms following the severe weather conditions of last winter and will involve lifting and relaying platform flags and pavers. For health and safety reasons some of the work will need to be carried out at night and station lighting will need to remain on throughout the night but noise will be kept to a minimum.

“We can assure local residents that work will be completed as quickly as possible and would like to ask for their patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
