Rapist McMoran jailed for not telling police he was in Northern Ireland
A convicted rapist has been jailed again for failing to tell police he was back in Northern Ireland.
Michael McMoran (38), previously jailed for 11 years in May 1998 after being convicted of raping a disabled teenager, arrived from Scotland in July.
He was arrested in Belfast earlier this month with a small quantity of heroin on him.
McMoran, of Plunkett Court in the city, admitted charges of failing to comply with a requirement to notify police of a change of address within a three-day period, and possessing a class A drug. A judge at Belfast Magistrates Court sentenced him to six weeks' imprisonment.
