Reshuffle of PSNI senior command team is confirmed

By Chris Kilpatrick

A major reshuffle of the police's senior command team has been confirmed, with the officer who missed out on the Deputy Chief Constable post handed his predecessor's crime operations portfolio. Plans circulated yesterday revealed Drew Harris will take the role of deputy on October 13.

Assistant Chief Constable Will Kerr – the only other candidate for the deputy post – will take over crime operations from Mr Harris.

Fellow assistants Stephen Martin and Alistair Finlay will take charge of urban and rural district policing command and human resources respectively.
