Residents enjoy hobbies room
The residents of Medway Court are now getting the benefit of a new hobbies room, created with the help of the local community.
Clearing out a spare room in the Oaklee housing property, located on Dee Street, residents now have a place to relax and can take in a quiet game of pool or darts.
“We are really appreciative to all who donated items to the room,” said Jim, a resident.
And the local residents would like to thank all those involved in the transformation, including Colin McCreery, owner of the Cock 'n' Hens, on Lord Street, Eddie Burton, from Kingswood Pigeon Club, on the Albertbridge Road, William Lennox, representing Belvoir Bar, Newtownards Road, Jim Hawkes, owner of Longfellows Bar, My Lady's Road, and the staff of Carpet Plus, located on the Newtownards Road.
