A photographer who caught the colour and cultural highlights of Northern Ireland's piping scene has hung up his camera and familiar straw hat after a decade.

Photos taken by John Kelly, Honorary Vice-President of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association's NI Branch, have regularly featured in the Belfast Telegraph.

Journalist Robert Wallace paid tribute to John, saying: "You have been a great servant to pipe bands in the Province and I hope there is someone ready to step forward to fill your expert shoes."
