Restraining order placed on woman accused of trying to kill her boyfriend on St Patrick's Day

A woman accused of trying to kill her partner on St Patrick's Day has been banned from going within 500 metres of his home.

The condition was imposed on Sarah Donaldson as she appeared in court today charged with attempted murder.

The 32-year-old, of Weavershill Court, Belfast, faces separate counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and causing grievous bodily harm with intent to the same man.

A fourth charge involves threatening to kill him after being detained by police last week.

The alleged offences were committed in the city on different dates in February and March.

Donaldson appeared before Belfast Magistrates' Court as part of an arrangement with police.

No details of the incidents were disclosed during the brief hearing.

District Judge Fiona Bagnall agreed to release her again on bail to return on May 8.

Donaldson has also been banned from any contact with the alleged victim.

Further bail conditions include a night-time curfew and alcohol prohibition.
