RHI boiler owner in court bid to keep name confidential
An RHI boiler owner will today make a last-ditch attempt to prevent the Department for the Economy publishing their name.
Stormont officials are making final preparations to release the names of those individuals who claimed from the botched green energy scheme. It comes after a list of those organisations claiming from the scheme was released earlier this year.
The Department for the Economy's RHI taskforce has written to each of the individuals it intends to name, stating how much they have been paid from the scheme. They have been given until Wednesday to respond and report inaccuracies.
Today a boiler owner is taking a legal challenge against the department in a bid to prevent their name being published.
It is listed for the Royal Courts of Justice in the commercial court and only as 'W v The Department for the Economy'.
