Rider hospitalised after Ulster Grand Prix crash

A rider taking part in the Ulster Grand Prix has been hospitalised following a crash.

Co Meath rider Alan Connor was involved in the crash happened at Dawsons Bend at the Dundrod circuit on Thursday morning during opening Superstock practice session.

He was treated at the scene by the MCUI medical team and then transferred by ambulance to Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital.

An Ulster Grand Prix spokesperson said the rider received minor injuries and organisers wish him a speedy recovery.
