The funeral of a man who died in a road accident this week will take place today.

Patrick Healy (46), from the Shantallow area of Derry, died after the single-vehicle accident on the Glenshane Road on Tuesday night.

Requiem Mass will take place at Our Lady Of Lourdes Church, Steelstown, at 10am, followed by interment in the City Cemetery.

A death notice said he was the beloved partner of Kerie-Ann and a loving stepfather to Mia.

Mr Healy was the son of the late Paddy and Moya, and brother to Marie, Martin, Janet, Sean, Tina, Lisa and the late Caroline.

Two women in the car at the time of the accident were injured.

They were transferred to hospital in Belfast.

In an online tribute, Mr Healy's partner said: "Rest in peace my love. You will never leave my heart.

"Life will never be the same without you."

Mr Healy's sister Janet Kerr added: "My beautiful baby brother I have loved all my life - you were my best wee buddy.

"I can't believe I will never see your smiling face or hear your silly little laugh."
