Robber targets off licence

An armed robber targeted an off licence on the Beersbridge Road last Friday, |July 23.

According to police in east Belfast, at around 9.45pm it was reported a masked man armed with a knife had entered the store.

The man threatened staff before attempting to remove the till.

The robber made off with a sum of cash from the till in the direction of Bloomfield Avenue.

The robber is described as being in his mid to late 20s, around six foot, clean shaven and wearing a black wooly hat, black coveralls, black trainers and white socks.

Staff members weren't hurt during the robbery however they were left very shaken by the ordeal.
