Caroline Wozniacki consoled her golfing fiance Rory McIlroy after he was pipped to first place in the Abu Dhabi Championship.
Tennis star Wozniacki flew out on Sunday to watch 24-year-old McIlroy finish joint second.
She was able to make the trip to the United Arab Emirates after losing to Garbine Muguruza of Spain in the Australian Open which freed up her schedule to watch some golf.
Taking to her Twitter she posted: "Lost in three sets today after a tough battle! That's sports sometimes. Back to the practice court to work hard!"
Despite her support, McIlroy – who proposed on New Year's Eve – lost out to eventual winner Pablo Larrazabal.
Rory received a two-stroke penalty on Saturday and spoke of his frustration at the decision. "There are a lot of stupid rules in golf and this is one of them," he said.
But the sporting defeats did not seem to bother the pair who were later snapped smiling and enjoying each other's company.
