Rory McIlroy sweet on sugar tax
Rory McIlroy has leant his support to the controversial new 'sugar tax'.
The Northern Ireland golf superstar took time out from a busy schedule to tweet: "Love that the UK is introducing this! Future generations will benefit so much."
Shares in sugary drinks companies plummeted after a surprise announcement on George Osborne's budget to hike up the tax on sugar-filled drinks, after pressure from celebrity TV chef Jamie Oliver. Fizzy drinks like Coca-Cola, Fanta, Red Bull and Irn Bru will soon cost more to buy with Osborne pledging to use any money saved on sports funding for schools.
