Pop legend Stevie Wonder appeared to cement speculation that he will be playing at Rory McIlroy's wedding today after he was photographed in the west of Ireland.
He sparked great excitement in Galway as he popped into the city centre to do a spot of shopping yesterday afternoon.
Wonder dropped into Galway's Compu B mobile phone shop where he chatted with fans and had his picture snapped for posterity.
The switched-on shop tweeted: "He just called to say… pleasure to have the one and only #StevieWonder in our #Galway store this afternoon!!"
It is understood that the Motown chart-topper has brought an 18-strong band with him to play at the wedding in Ashford Castle, and that Rory forked out a six-figure sum to have Wonder provide the soundtrack to his nuptials.
The singer - a household name for 50 years - jetted into Shannon yesterday morning and now seems certain to be playing at the golf star's wedding to his fiancee Erica Stoll.
The glamorous event is reckoned to be the biggest thing to hit Cong since they filmed The Quiet Man there way back in 1951. The singer was booked at Rory's personal request of the golfer because Erica is a huge fan.
The lavish four-day wedding ceremony is understood to have cost the couple around €500,000.
