An estimated £10,000 worth of jewellery has been stolen from a house in south Belfast.

The burglary happened in the Glenholm Crescent area of Four Winds on Friday between 8.30am and 5.40pm.

Thieves entered through a rear window and drilled open a safe in the house.

Diamond rings, earrings and various items of gold jewellery as well as a sum of New Zealand dollars were taken.
