Sean Fegan (50) dies after Castlewellan crash

A man in his 50s who died in a single vehicle crash in Castlewellan yesterday morning has been named locally as Sean Fegan.

It is understood Mr Fegan, who was from the local area, had suffered a heart attack while driving a purple Isuzu pick-up truck which was towing a trailer on the Carnreagh Road between 9.30am and 10am.

Witnesses have been urged to contact police on 101, quoting reference 297 of December 4.

SDLP councillor Mark Murnin said that the local community were shocked by the sudden nature of the death and he passed on his condolences to the man's family.
