A search operation for a missing Strangford woman is due to commence again this morning.
The coastguard acting in support of the police called off the search for 53-year-old Margaret Collins late yesterday.
There was no further information from the PSNI, who earlier described the woman as “vulnerable”.
Police also issued appeals over the whereabouts of the woman who was last seen at her home on Shore Road in Strangford at 4.30pm on Saturday.
A PSNI statement said when last seen, the woman — who is described as being 5ft 8ins, of thin build, and with short grey hair — was wearing a purple coat and black combat trousers.
A spokesman for the Coastguard said: “The search has been called off for this evening and will begin again first thing in the morning.”
